Each resident is provided their necessary clothing during the Orientation (Phase I). Once you have confirmed that the resident has been admitted to West Central he/she may/will need additional clothing items.

**All clothing must fit according to the resident's measurements. If the amount of items exceed the amount the resident is permitted to have in their possession, you will need to pick up the items within 14 days or they will be thrown in the trash**

Only those who are listed on the Resident Visitor Request and approved by the resident’s counselor and probation officer will be permitted to visit.



Once you have been approved AND the resident advances to Phase II, you may schedule a visit.



ALL VISITS MUST BE SCHEDULED. ALL VISITS MUST BE SCHEDULED AT LEAST 12 HOURS IN ADVANCE. Visits may be scheduled up to two weeks in advance.

Visitor/Orientation Class Information:



  1. All those ages 12 and over, which have been approved to visit, are required to attend a one-time 45-minute orientation class before their first visitation.


  2. Visitors under the age of 18:

    • Must be accompanied by his/her parent or legal guardian to attend orientation and/or visitation
    • Must provide one of the following: State I.D., valid Driver’s License or a copy of a Birth Certificate or proof of guardianship—NO SUBSTITUTIONS

  3. If an adult other than the child’s legal guardian, who is over the age of 18, is accompanying the child, he/she must have a notarized letter from the legal guardian permitting the child to visit. The visitor will also need a copy of custody documentation identifying the child’s legal guardian.


  4. Visitors are not permitted to enter the lobby earlier than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled visit.

Phase II Visits

(All Visits must be scheduled)



Each resident is permitted one contact visit per week. (Monday - Sunday ) No more than THREE people may visit at one time. If there are 3 childern under the age of 18, then the resident must request special visitation time (before they come) since the children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, which would then be over the visitor limit.

Each resident is permitted one on site video visit per week. (Monday-Sunday).

Each resident is permitted one off site video visit per week. (Monday-Sunday).



Phase III Visits

(All Visits must be scheduled)


Each resident is permitted two contact visits per week. (Monday-Sunday)

Each resident is permitted two on site video visits per week. (Monday-Sunday)

Orientation Class for visitors is held on Sunday, 2:30—3:15pm. It is not necessary to call for an appointment. Please be on time. Those arriving late will not be admitted. Once you receive a packet that states you have been approved as a visitor, you may come in for the orientation class. IF YOU DO NOT SCHEDULE A VISIT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VISIT AFTER THE CLASS ON THIS DAY

Rules For Visitors


  1. All visitors will be electronically wanded and/or searched prior to entry into visitation area.

  2. Dress attire must be appropriate and pro-social. We do not permit see-through clothing, hoodies, low cut tops, muscle and/or sleeveless shirts, or clothing with drug or alcohol logos or gang symbols. Shoes must be worn at all times. Hats are not to be worn within the building.

  3. All personal items (i.e. coats, jackets, hats, gloves, backpacks, money, purses, bags, wallets, cell phones, diaper bags, etc.) should be secured in your vehicle or you will be required to secure the items in lockers provided within the facility. NOTE: A bottle and one replacement diaper may accompany each infant. No other food or beverages are permitted inside the facility.

  4. Visitors are prohibited from giving residents ANY items, including money, food, candy, gum, cough drops, etc.

  5. Visitors are prohibited from visiting under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol and will be asked to leave the facility.

  6. Any visitor introducing illegal substances into the facility will be prosecuted.

  7. Residents are permitted to hug their visitor(s) at the beginning and conclusion of their visit. Hand holding above the table during the visit is permitted. If at any time during the visit inappropriate behavior is observed, the visit may be terminated.

  8. Visits may also be terminated for the following reasons:
    • Argumentative behavior
    • Disrespectful behavior toward staff, visitors, or other resident
    • Any other reason deemed necessary by staff

  9. Visitation policy and schedule are subject to change without notice.





Resident Phone System


Upon the completion of the intake process (admission), each resident will be permitted to notify their family of their arrival to West Central by phone.

Telephone privileges begin approximately 15 days from the resident’s admission to West Central.



West Central provides a phone system made available to all residents through ICSolutions.

Secured Mail


Secured mail is now available with Keefe Commissary. No more going to the Post Office for stamps. No more going to the store for envelopes and paper. For the same price of a stamp, you can send letters and pictures right from your computer. Go to www.inmatedeposits.com and click on Secure Mail. You can buy credits or get set up on a plan.



Resident Commissary


All residents are responsible for all expenses they accrue during their residency at West Central. West Central has partnered with Keefe Group to provide affordable hygiene products and snack foods in an effort to help control costs for our residents.

Additionally, the Keefe Commissary system provides a convenience for our residents' families by offering three ways to deposit money onto a resident's account.

  • Deposits for residents at West Central will be made in the lobby of the male facility using the “KIOSK." The kiosk will accept cash, credit or debit card. The kiosk will accept bills of five dollars or more and will not give change.
  • Money can be deposited in a residents' account by logging on to www.inmatedeposits.com
  • Money can be deposited to a residents' account by calling Cybersuite at 1-866-345-1884
